Call for Papers for 2019 – closed March 10, 2018
Why Should Your Organization Sponsor the NERGC conference?
• It will give you an opportunity to foster your relationship with active genealogists who do not commonly attend the national conferences. The national conferences are usually held in the south and west and are not always attractive to northeastern residents.
• You may actively demonstrate new products and services to committed users while minimizing the per person contact cost.
• It will give you an opportunity to let your customers know how much you value their continued membership and support.
• Many attendees are officers in their organizations, or trustees in libraries and historical societies. They are decision-makers when it concerns books, equipment and services.
• Include your organization’s name, description, and a link to your website on the sponsor page on the NERGC website
• Mention you on Facebook, our blog, e-Zine, syllabus, and on-site signage;
• Include you in a list of sponsors that will be placed in our conference packet and, if applicable, our tote bag.
• Selected sponsorships will have an opportunity to place gift items and brochures on chairs, and banners in selected locations, and briefly introduce the sponsoring organization.

Ancestors Roadshow: NERGC has operated an event known as the Ancestors Roadshow since 2005. In this event, professional genealogists and speakers volunteer to assist attendees with genealogical advice. In 2017, about one-third of the attendees used this opportunity and, in fact, people were turned away. We would like the sponsor to provide the genealogists with a small gift (such as a website subscription) as an incentive to continue to offer their time for this event. The sponsor would receive full credit on all media materials; be given an opportunity to install signage describing their company in the Ancestors Roadshow space; be given the opportunity to provide gifts (pads, pens, flash drives, etc.) with the company logo to participants. Requested donation: $3,000 or equivalent.
Wednesday Track Sponsorship: Wednesday attendees have the opportunity to attend in-depth specialized tracks. These have proven quite popular. The sponsor will be able to provide an additional luncheon speaker, information on their organization or company, and will receive full acknowledgement in the syllabus and handouts. Requested donation: $1,250 in cash or provide four speakers who must be approved by the Program Committee.
